Every aspect of the Knee Chest has been subtly redesigned to improve on the original and other subsequent “Gonstead” knee chest versions that have been produced.

The Knee Chest wood is from hardwoods cut from rough stock, laminated, planed down and with all edges smoothed with the same 5 choices of wood as the ComboBench. The 6th is from a light yellow colored Laminated Bamboo and these edges have a stunning appearance. You have your choice of a custom Knee Chest height with legs up to 5" high.
The chair back, chair back brace and block and all the Knee Chest wood are hand rubbed with four coats of high quality sealers. Each coat must be fully dried before the next coat, taking time.
We use fabric with tremendous grip with a wear rating tested that exceeds 500,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs without any observable wear. You can also choose other types of coverings at your option.
There are many positions to choose from for the great variety of patient spinal configurations. I have created a pick list of positions patients may require, and also one of spinal landmarks as well. This info carries forward in our EHR program saving us time and preventing technical errors. There is a copy included with your shipment for you to program into your software or create a written note.
The Knee Chest can be used to adjust cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacroiliac, sacrum and coccyx subluxations. This is variable depending on the patient. Dr. Gonstead even taught how to adjust Atlas on a Knee Chest.
We usually can get them out to the shipper in about 4–6 weeks after payment is received. The total time from building to shipping is dependent on the availability of 6–7 persons' schedules. The Knee Chest ships completely assembled in one box and the fee for its weight varies with the choice of wood.
When equipment is delivered to UPS they will calculate by size and weight the shipping cost from zip code 97233 here to your zip code per their computer database. Thus, we cannot give or estimate any packing or shipping costs. When packing/crating is done they will call you with the price and you will pay them with a credit card.
