The ComboBench® Advantage — Since 1989

The ComboBench® usually pays for itself quickly and saves money on rented or built space. Without a separate chair you save time by reduced moving of the patients around. I have reports that in a high volume practice it can pay for itself in as little as 1–2 weeks due to its efficiency. A room 10' x 10' is ample for both a ComboBench® and a Knee Chest. This gives you more patient volume per work day or more time per patient as you choose.

Colors on the ComboBench® on this website are simulated and may not accurately represent the material color. Click here to view the material swatches.

Materials

There are no wood screws to eventually work loose in the ComboBench® nor in the Knee Chest. No dimensional lumber is used for the bench frame, chair back, chair back brace or chair back block, nor in the Knee Chest. These are only from raw lumber built in the shop from hardwoods cut from rough stock and planed down. This then gives a 100% solid frame with no joint play.

For the ComboBench® you have a choice of 6 woods: American Black Walnut (getting rare and may require a surcharge for it some day), Cherry, Maple, White Oak (never the less expensive red oak), Sapele (this reddish-brown wood from South America shimmers in the light, is a very heavy wood also called “Iron Wood”) and light yellow Laminated Bamboo.

Stout 1" square tubed, powder coated, aluminum welded legs are custom made for the doctor's height as is desired down to 1/4" in size and bolted in solid. Height considerations are important, especially with a doctor with longer or shorter legs or torso. No clamping of a thin “L” shaped leg to the table with a flat board and a wobbly leg foot. The result of this solid design is that the adjustment thrust energy is delivered to the patient and not absorbed and lost into a wobbly table.

We use fabric with tremendous grip with a wear rating tested that exceeds 500,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs without any observable wear. You can also choose other types of coverings at your option.

Designed for the Full Spine

It is designed to examine and adjust on either end and in the center of the ComboBench® as needed for the following body parts: skull, TMJ, nasium, cervical, thoracic, sternum, rib, lumbar, sacroiliac, sacrum, coccyx, clavicle, scapula, humerus, elbow, wrist, hand, finger, hip, knee, ankle, foot and toe articulations and/or areas.

You can easily control the brace positional movements with your knee and one hand on the top of the chair back. The hardwood plywood chair back, the matching solid chair back brace and the solid positioning wood block allow 4 patient positions:

  • The 1st chair back brace setting is the lowest and is preferred for spinal examination. Some patients may need to move forward a few inches to access the LB, SI's and sacrum for scoping and checking, then afterward just slide back a few inches.
  • The 2nd chair back brace setting is for tall patients that need to be lowered for adjusting.
  • The 3rd chair back brace setting is for most patients for adjusting.
  • The 4th chair back brace setting is designed to allow for a hot LB injury patient to be able to sit for a neck evaluation and adjustment. This is often not felt, yet needed, to clear a spinal cord subluxation that is affecting the motor tracts to the low back spinal and lower extremities muscles.

The chair strap snaps will fit any sized patient, including children, for patient stabilization. It goes over one shoulder and under the other with snap options on the back of the chair back. Obese patients are self stabilized. No Velcro tape on the strap to wear out. Children can be adjusted in the chair position easily by sitting on the flat pillow placed on the bottom and the “L” shaped pillow placed on top of it and always using the stabilizing strap. Patients prone or supine can be checked and adjusted on either end of the ComboBench®.

Building & Shipping

We usually can get them out to the shipper in about 4–6 weeks after payment is received. The total time from building to shipping is dependent on the availability of 6–7 persons' schedules.

UPS is the only company that will make up the large box for the ComboBench® and ships them worldwide from here. A ComboBench® is about 73+ pounds and is shipped in two boxes. It is just partially unassembled to reduce packing size which greatly saves on the shipping price. You will receive instructions for the assembly of your ComboBench®. The Knee Chest ships completely assembled in one box and the fee for its weight varies with the choice of wood.

When equipment is delivered to UPS they will calculate by size and weight the shipping cost from zip code 97233 here to your zip code per their computer database. Thus, we cannot give or estimate any packing or shipping costs. When packing/crating is done they will call you with the price and you will pay them with a credit card.

My best to you as you continue to advance and carry on in the great Gonstead work that is helping so many people to improve and maintain their health by restoring nerve system function.
